On Thorns I Lay (GRE) – Sounds of Beautiful Experience – LP
His Wounds Records 2025
30 years after it’s release the legendary On Thorns I Lay debut is finally available on vinyl for the first time!
The On Thorns I Lay debut “Sounds of Beautiful Experience”, is a deeply emotional work steeped in melodic sorrow and ethereal atmosphere.
A record that walks the line between Doom and Gothic sensibilities, drenched in elegiac guitar work and lush orchestration, evoking both yearning and catharsis.
Slow-burning riffs and melancholic textures wash over the listener like fading memories carved into rain-wet stone.
Vocals alternate between mournful resonance and fragile whispers, painting scenes of grief-drenched beauty and inner transcendence.
Produced with a sense of clarity and depth, the album opens like a secret diary, filled with loss, nostalgia, and shimmering light in decay.
A mature, honest statement by a band that has embraced beauty through pain, and serenity through darkness.
